Center Court is Transforming into a Beautiful Live Landscape
Flint—March 26, 2003— Genesee Valley Center, in partnership with the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association (GALNA), present “It´s Every Bunny´s World” a live-landscape display in the shopping center´s center court. A handcrafted waterfall, brick walkway and numerous plants and flowers will surround the Easter Bunny starting this Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m.
The Easter Bunny will welcome families in his stone-front bunny hut, which will create a beautiful backdrop for spring pictures. Picture hours with the Easter Bunny are available Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
“The volunteers of the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association will visit the set daily to change the plants and offer customers an ever-changing live setting,” said Lili Donaldson, marketing manager for Genesee Valley Center. “The theme ´It´s Every Bunny´s World´ captures the renewal spirit of the season.”
“Volunteers from GALNA put in over 50 hours to create the live setting,” stated Darrin Cassiday, owner of Green Side Up Landscaping in Flint and president of GALNA. “They are also on hand during center hours to answer questions about creating curb appeal through landscape design.”
An auction will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m. offering customers a chance to purchase the plants and small shrubs displayed in center court. The mulch, stone walkway, slate slabs, landscape rocks and petrified rocks will also be auctioned off.
