Local Resident to Head Security at Genesee Valley Center

May 8, 2005, Flint, MI---Ryan Hagler, a seven-year contracted security employee at Genesee Valley Center, has been named the new security director at Genesee Valley.  Hagler, 26 years old, was born in Flint, MI and graduated from Swartz Creek High School. 

“We are excited to promote someone within the company, and someone who is familiar with the community and the demands of this important job,” said Clyde Cooper, general manager, Genesee Valley Center.  “Hagler has continued to show integrity and initiative in his job responsibilities.”  Hagler was previously the assistant director of security and held that position for four years until this most recent promotion.

“Hagler has consistently demonstrated a strong customer-focus attitude and has the experience needed to direct security operations as we expand our shopping center to include the Outdoor Village, lifestyle center,” said Cooper.

“I’m excited to be part of this shopping center’s prestigious growth,” said Hagler.  “It’s another mall within our mall and it offers a new range of job skills and experience.”

            In 2003, Hagler completed his associated degree in business management from Baker College.  He is currently working toward his bachelor degree at Baker College. In addition, Hagler has completed STT Security’s supervisory training and is CPR/AED certified, as is all security officers at Genesee Valley Center.   

Hagler will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operation at Genesee Valley Center, contracted through STT Security Inc., provider of loss prevention and security services in 27 states and based in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
