IT’S EVERY BUNNY’S WORLD" TAKES CENTER COURT AT GENESEE VALLEY CENTER ...
Flint, Mich. (March 27, 2001), Genesee Valley Center, in partnership with the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association, presents ´It´s Every Bunny´s World´ a live-landscape display in the shopping center´s center court. The display is complete with two handcrafted waterfalls, a brick walkway, eight foot evergreens, flowering lilac bushes and a variety of beautiful flowering plants. The living exhibit, which changes daily, will be on display through April 21.
Nestled in the middle of this flowering paradise is the Easter Bunny and his newly created stone front habitat, offering customers a unique and colorful backdrop for the spring season´s photo operation. The Easter Bunny arrived on Saturday, March 24. Pictures with the Bunny are available Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday´s noon to 6 p.m.
Other photo opportunities in the live-landscape display include engagement pictures; family portraits and any other reason customers want to ´capture the moment.´ A scene not far from the Bunny´s residence is available as a backdrop.
´The volunteers of the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association visit the set daily to change the plants and offer customer an ever-evolving live setting,´ said Lili Donaldson, marketing manager for Genesee Valley Center. ´The theme ´It´s Every Bunny´s World´ captures the renewal spirit of the season.´
Hanging overhead are four giant pastel-colored butterflies; four, two-foot kite-like butterflies and an eight-foot iridescent green dragonfly. These whimsical overheads provide a picturesque display visible from the second level food court and from the ground level.
A silent auction will be held the final week of the display offering customers a chance to purchase the plants and evergreens in center court. The mulch, stone walkway, slate slabs and petrified rocks will also be auctioned off. The auction begins Friday, April 13 and runs through Thursday, April 19. Auction forms will be available at the customer information desk near center court.
´We are proud to present our membership´s talent with this display at Genesee Valley Center,´ said Michael Yancho, president of the Genesee Area Landscape and Nursery Association. ´We will have representatives on hand to answer questions about plant care and landscaping. We invite everyone to drop by and get some free advice.´
