FLINT WOMAN SCORES TICKETS FOR THE BIG GAME

Posted

FLINT, MI (12/30/05)—Two tickets to the Super Bowl including round trip transfers, four night accommodations and passes to the NFL experience: $6000. The glowing smile of a Flint woman on Christmas Eve: Priceless. Genesee Valley Center ended their 11 week “Big Game” XL grand prize contest with a live drawing in Center Court on Christmas Eve.

“When I first got the call, I thought it was a joke,” said Barbara Holder of Flint, “I entered my name and never thought anything of it. It just goes to show you with a little faith, anything can happen.” Holder was the grand prize winner of a Super Bowl package valued at $6000 for the XL game happening in Detroit, February 5, 2006.  The contest, that began October 1, allowed Genesee Valley customers one entry for every $100 spent at the center through December 20. On Christmas Eve, just before he made his way back to the North Pole, Santa pulled Holders name out of a bucket of entries and she was telephoned live, onstage by the center’s marketing manager, Lili Donaldson.

“We were excited to offer this package to our customers,” said Donaldson, “with The Big Game in Detroit, it was a natural. No purchase was required for the prize.”

Genesee Valley Center is the largest regional shopping center north of metro Detroit. The center is currently undergoing an expansion to include Barnes and

Noble Bookseller, Bar Louie and 10 additional national tenants in a lifestyle setting named “Outdoor Village.” For more information, call 732.4000.
