BABY RESOURCE EXPO BOOMS AT GENESEE VALLEY CENTER
FLINT, MI (10/15/05) – Bring the little ones out trick-or-treating, enter to win a family shopping trip to Frankenmuth and discover more than 15 Genesee County businesses that can help make parenting a lot easier! Its Genesee Valley Center’s first ever Baby Resource Expo, Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Genesee Valley Center is partnering with the Baby Resource Guide to bring together a diverse selection of local businesses that offer products and services related to pregnancy, birth, infants, toddlers and new families. Exhibitors will offer activities for the kids such as toddler tumbling gymnastics and interactive music. Other resources include daycare, preschool, child photography, dance and music classes and more. "The center also really wants to promote family activity and togetherness," said Bobbie Chamberlain, event coordinator, and assistant marketing manager for Genesee Valley "We want to do this by showcasing local attractions and cultural institutions that many new families don’t realize are within a few miles of their homes."
The Baby Resource Expo is free and will also feature storybook character readings at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. and a special guest storyteller at noon in the children’s play area. There will be a Halloween Parade through the center featuring RAGGS the dog, Genesee Valley’s mascot and participating stores will be passing out candy.
The exposition parallels the release of Genesee County´s first and only Baby Resource Guide publication, who is the lead sponsor in bringing this unique event to the local community.
